Biographie

Patricia Ségui was born on April 5, 1984 in Noumea, New Caledonia, a magic corner of the South Pacific. Her father was a musician, and her mother, being of Spanish ancestry, was given to singing her way through life. So what could be more natural for Patricia than to become what she is today: a talented performer and singer composer whose star is rising. Patricia attended several music schools, then spent eight years learning piano before she realized, after a year in the Perpignan Conservatory, that she had been carrying with her all along the best instrument in the world: her voice.

With enthusiasm and joy, she embarked in the formal study of choral music, but the idea of becoming a solo singer was never far from her thoughts. Meanwhile, she spent three years in Perpignan studying vocal technique, perfecting her musical knowledge and acquiring confidence. It helped her understand that the highest art is to make the melody appear natural, spontaneous, easy. Patricia’s sweet, clear voice, which delights her fans and she constantly strives to improve and broaden her range.

Quite early on, she began to accumulate awards and prizes in French regional singing competitions and radio shows (2003 – 2005). The diversity of her repertoire, which includes some great standards from Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Joe Dassin, Charles Aznavour and other popular French singers, delights her listeners. In 2006, she produced her first solo CD. From 2008 to 2010, she joined the Pop Soul choir in Perpignan’s Casa Musicale where her music teacher was Kali.

Since 2010, Patricia has been dedicating herself to singing and song-writing. She has been performing in all kinds of places: concerts, churches, private homes, resorts, casinos, restaurants and bars. Patricia thrives on challenges: she is able to hold the attention of patrons enjoying a meal or chatting with friends. She seeks eye-contact, catches their attention, and then delights them with the sweetness of her voice, usually backed by a piano or a bass.

For the last five years, Patricia has been performing regularly from her base in New Caledonia increasingly broadening her horizon to perform in Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu and Japan.
